Dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for agriculture and expanding knowledge to young minds.
History of GJF

Our Mission
Our mission is to create an organization that expands agricultural education from pre-K through adult learning, inspiring the next generation to explore careers within and around agriculture. We strive to create a dynamic platform that bridges the gap between the agricultural community and the market, 1fostering a deeper understanding of our food system, its producers,
and market demands. By cultivating agricultural excellence through education, we aim to advocate for sustainability, champion best practices, promote informed consumerism, and elevate the future of agriculture.
Our Vision
Education:
Green Jean partners with students, teachers, and administrators from pre-K through 12th grade, integrating agriculture as a tool to complement existing educational standards. We focus on creating school garden and aquaculture programs that teach students about the origins of their food while also fostering interest in careers related to agriculture.
Industry:
Green Jean envisions becoming a leading resource hub for the agricultural community, offering a platform to share best practices, manage resources, and discuss innovations. Additionally, we will provide adult education on industry standards through various channels including podcasts, blogs, and forums, facilitating knowledge exchange and problem-solving within the industry.
Consumers:
Green Jean aspires to connect consumers with the origins of their food, empowering individuals to make conscious and informed choices. Our goal is to guide consumers toward sustainable consumption and healthier nutrition by explaining industry certifications and fostering a deeper connection between their food choices and the practices that sustain our planet.

What Separates The Green Jean Foundation from Others?
No matter who we are, everyone needs to eat. At the Green Jean Foundation, we strengthen the connection between people and their food through education. We teach farmers best practices to produce environmentally friendly and sustainable crops. We educate consumers on how to make informed choices that support these farmers’ efforts. We also inspire future generations by educating students about agriculture and food systems. Whether you want to have your best season or discover what’s in season, we’re here to provide the answers.
